"Rosa Khutor" and the "Interros" company have released a game map of the popular mountain resort. The "Rosa Khutor" metaverse became available to users of the Roblox online platform on June 3. The game is being released in the year of the 10th anniversary of the Winter Olympics in Sochi and unites the largest Olympic facility of Sochi-2014 with a new audience in the digital world. The development was carried out by the agency DVOR Metamarketing Agency.
The metaverse includes the main locations of the resort: Roza Dolina, Gornaya Olimpiyskaya Derevnya and Roza Peak,as well as a "teleport" to the Black Sea coast, where the player can go by high-speed train. The journey begins in the heart of the resort - on the central square near the Town Hall. The action takes place in winter - in the metaverse, the ski season is all year round. Warming drinks can be purchased at various locations. The main game activation is skiing or snowboarding.
The next point is the Mzymta mountain river. In a mini-game, the user can "jump on ice floes" and collect branded coins.They can also be earned by skating on an open skating rink or skiing/snowboarding. The first player to earn 5 million game coins - "roziks" - will receive a certificate for a weekend for two and will go to the real "Rosa Khutor" resort!
After crossing the bridge, users find themselves on the cable car and rise to a new level of the metaverse - the Gornaya Olimpiyskaya Derevnya. The avenue of flags, similar to the one at the Games in Sochi, has been recreated there. The player is surrounded by hotel buildings where Olympic champions stayed.
From the Olympic village by cable car, the user reaches the highest point of the map - Roza Peak. The player can also use the "teleport" function and not wait for the ascent in the cabin. At the top, the user is greeted by the panoramic restaurant "Vysota 2320" and soaring swings offering stunning mountain views. Near the restaurant, the user can again have a snack and take warming drinks, and then go skiing on the snowy track.
"Rosa Khutor" is the largest year-round mountain resort in Russia, for whose audience family values, the principles of a healthy lifestyle and sports are of particular importance. The metaverse in Roblox is an opportunity to directly communicate with a young audience, which makes up a significant part of the resort's guests. For the resort's investor - the "Interros" company - this is a continuation of the phygital agenda, when the real world is combined with the digital one.In 2024, the first phygital tournament "Games of the Future" was held in Russia, the general partner of which was "Interros".
