RGS signed an MOU with the Syrian Geographical Society

The Russian Geographical Society signed a memorandum of understanding with the Syrian Geographical Society on July 12, the organization's website says.

 The agreement is reported to promote the development of scientific and cultural ties and the exchange of experience and information in the field of geography and related sciences.

As part of the development of geography, it is planned to hold joint scientific and practical conferences, symposia, seminars and round tables in topical areas.

Within the framework of the agreement, the RGS and SGS will promote the mutual participation of educational organizations of the two states in international geography Olympiads, competitions, festivals, joint environmental, tourism and other events. In addition, work will be carried out to improve the quality of geographic education, it is planned to implement educational, expeditionary, environmental and other projects, exchange geographic materials and archival documents for scientific work.
