Restoration of 14 cultural heritage sites on Solovki has been completed

The Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova in her telegram channel reported that 14 objects on Solovki were restored through the department. At the moment, work is continuing on the preservation of two iconostases in the church of St. Herman and in the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

She noted that the restoration of 5 more chapels will be completed by the end of 2025.

The complex of the Solovetsky Islands is included in the World Cultural Heritage list. The spiritual center of the archipelago is the ancient majestic Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery. On the territory of the archipelago there is a historical, architectural and natural museum-reserve, the funds of which number more than 100 thousand items.
