The press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources reported that in December a series of free excursions with professional ornithologists will be held for the first time in the natural territories of the capital. Muscovites will have access to 40 themed walks.

As part of the excursions, citizens will be able to learn a lot of new and interesting things about the feathered inhabitants of Moscow and about the proper help for birds in winter. They also admire the winter landscapes, take a walk and get a boost of energy. Ecological routes have been specially developed for walking.

To participate in the tour, you must pre-register using the Mospriroda website.

The department recalled that 270 species of birds can be found in Moscow's natural territories in different periods of the year. Of these, about 100 species are permanent residents, and about 20 species of birds choose the capital for wintering, arriving from the north.
