- The opening of the first municipal animal shelter in the Krasnodar Territory in Sochi is scheduled for early 2024. 82 animal enclosures have already been installed this year, and work is underway on their interior decoration and insulation. Another 85 aviaries are in the process of installation. At the same time, work is underway to lay the necessary engineering communications, lighting and video surveillance systems, install fences, and build a dog walking area. It was decided to make additional strengthening of the slopes to ensure the safety of the shelter. In addition, the facility is located in a swampy area, which required measures to drain the territory, the Sochi administration reports.
