The press service of the Ministry of Economic Development reported that the relevant State Duma committee approved financing of the state program "Tourism Development" for a three-year period. In total, the program allocates 52 billion rubles for these purposes. Of these, 43 billion rubles are provided for 2024.
The key directions of the state program will be the construction of a new number of rooms, the creation of infrastructure for tourism clusters, the development of human resources in the industry and the development of inbound tourism.
The Ministry of Economic Development expects that thanks to the program, 238 thousand new hotel rooms will be created in Russia by 2030. At the moment, there is an obvious shortage of quality rooms. However, the pace of commissioning of new facilities is planned to double.
In addition, the program of infrastructure support for clusters will be continued. Next year it is also planned to launch a program to promote the Russian tourism brand abroad, which includes participation in exhibitions and subsidizing foreign charters.
The bill received proposals from regions, the Presidential Administration, the Security Council, federal agencies, public organizations, and nearly 1,500 citizen appeals.
The forum, which brought together experts from a wide range of industries, hosted approximately 50 business events across three thematic areas: economics and investment, architecture and integrated territorial development, and tourism and hospitality.
