The official portal of Yekaterinburg reported that the city's tourism sector is growing and developing. In 2023, more than 1.7 million guests visited the capital of the Urals, and 1.4 million a year earlier.
In the future, it is planned to update the strategic project "Yekaterinburg tourist". This document will determine the vector of development of the urban hospitality system. The main goal of the project will be the formation of a regular, rather than event-based, tourist flow. The city authorities expect that tourists will come to Yekaterinburg not only for the sake of specific bright events, but to explore the local architecture or visit iconic places.
"At the same time, the focus will be on young people as the most active part of the population. Today, the average age of a guest in Yekaterinburg is 40 years old. In order to attract a younger "audience", the municipality will continue to work on popularizing the brand of the Ural capital," the message says.
