The Masonic House mansion, built in Kislovodsk in 1912, was included in the list of identified cultural heritage sites in October of this year. Now he is officially under state protection. The administration of the resort city reported this on its website.

The architecture of the building combines eclecticism with baroque elements.

“The old mansion on Chkalova Street, popularly known as the Masonic House, is an exceptional building with very beautiful architecture. It got its name due to the fact that Masonic symbolism can be seen on some elements of the façade stucco. This is a hammer, compass, square, etc.

The building is made in an architectural style unique to our city. It was important for us to preserve this historical mansion and make it a protected object,” said the head of Kislovodsk, Evgeny Moiseev, whose words are quoted in the message.
