The Kronotsky Nature Reserve and the Lena Pillars National Park have signed a cooperation agreement, which includes the exchange of experience in the field of nature conservation and conservation of biological diversity of specially protected natural areas (PAS). This was reported by the Wild Nature of Russia portal.
"Within the framework of the agreement, it is planned to create a general course for state inspectors on the protection of protected areas in difficult climatic conditions, fraught with risk to life, and to establish an exchange of experience in patrolling hard-to-reach territories and combating poaching," the message says.
Two protected areas will also train volunteers under the School of Conservationists program. In addition, they will share their experience in organizing safe ecotourism, including developing rules of conduct when encountering wild animals and procedures in case of injuries.
The reserves and the national park have agreed to hold events on the development of tourist infrastructure.
"It is planned to create hiking trails that will increase the flow of visitors, minimizing the impact on the nature of protected lands," the portal notes.
