The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India will organise a special ‘Tourism Fortnight’ to promote ‘Incredible India’ at the forthcoming Expo2020 in Dubai, as per a report in Economic Times.

The Incredible India fortnight will be celebrated between December 31, 2021, and January 31, 2022. This was informed by Arvind Singh, Secretary - Tourism, Government of India while addressing a Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) India webinar.

Arvind Singh said that for two weeks, the India Pavilion will be promoting tourism exclusively. The six-month-long Expo2020 is slated to begin from October 1 this year.

Among other initiatives to promote India, Singh said that the Ministry will soon appoint Marketing Representatives for Incredible India in some of the overseas markets where there is a vacuum currently. He said that the Ministry has identified few emerging markets with untapped potential and Marketing Representatives will be appointed in such markets.

India Tourism will also participate in all the potential travel trade shows abroad to promote India as a round-the-year destination. The Tourism Secretary said that the service of the India missions abroad as well as all the bilateral and multilateral forums where India is a part of will also be used to promote tourism in a big way.
