The press service of the Ministry of Economic Development reported that by 2030, an increase in inbound tourism in Russia is projected to be 1.5 times. Thus, the number of foreign tourists in Russia may grow to 16 million.
The report notes that due to the current measures for the development of inbound tourism, the interest of foreigners in traveling to Russia is steadily growing. The number of bookings on the sites of Russian search engine aggregators has doubled. Tourists from China, Turkey, India, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Iran choose holidays in Russia.
In the future, the Ministry of Economic Development plans to continue working with representatives of relevant departments, regional authorities and tour operators to expand air travel, facilitate the visa regime and popularize the possibility of issuing a single electronic visa to Russia in other countries.
