Eco-routes for hiking in the mountains are opening on the North Caucasian resorts - for this type of recreation, more than 100 kilometers of trails have been equipped there at elevations from one to three thousand meters. This was reported by the company "Kavkaz.RF".
"Today, the mountain resorts of the North Caucasus offer trails of the most diverse lengths and difficulty levels: from an extensive system of equipped ecological trails on the southern and northern slopes of the Arkhyz resort to a network of professional trekking routes on Elbrus and Veduchi, 60 km long. One such route - climbing to the peak of Elbrus - requires special training and support, while most are available to all tourists," - the message says on the company's website.
The trails are equipped with navigation signs so that tourists can calculate their strength and not get lost. Rest areas, observation decks, bridges, rope railings for climbing and fences of dangerous sections have been created on the routes.Special stands contain information about the area - endemic animals and plants or the formation of glaciers and their role in the ecosystem.
This season, detailed maps of the trails for the guests of Elbrus and Veduchi will be released, which can be obtained at the resort's information centers.
In addition, as reported in "Kavkaz.RF", this summer season the company will start creating a network of eco-trails at the North Ossetian resort "Mamison", which is still under construction.
At the "Veduchi" resort, you can go down by cable car to the observation deck with a panoramic view of the Daneduk ridge and take a walk along the eco-trail "To the Stone Glade".
"The road passes through a thicket of hazelnuts and rhododendron thickets, so even on a hot day it remains pleasantly cool here," the company noted.
And at the "Arkhyz" resort at the beginning of the summer season, the trails of Romantics, Alan Path, and the trail to Smirnov Peak are available for hiking. In addition, work on the construction of the "Orbita" cable car is in the final stage, the upper point of which reaches a height of 3030 m.
"The comfortable and modern "Orbita" cable car will lift guests to the Abishira-Akhuba ridge and will make the hike to the valley of mountain lakes accessible to tourists of different physical fitness," - the message says.
As Vadim Trukshin, general director of the Mantra group, which develops Arkhyz, said, this summer the resort plans to launch an Adventure Park at an altitude of 3030 m with high-altitude swings and a via ferrata.
"The novelty of the season will also be the opening of a bike park and an alpaca farm. A rope park, karting for children and adults is already available at the resort," - Trukshin's words are quoted in the message.
