The German Europa-Park, the second most popular in Europe after the "Disneyland" in Paris, will resume operation on May 29, initially for residents of Germany, the park management announced.
The hotels and restaurants of Europa-Park, which in 2019 received more than 5.7 million visitors, will gradually open from May 18.
Initially the spring opening of Europa-Park, located in the German town of Rrust, a few kilometers from French Alsace, especially affected by the coronavirus epidemic, was postponed until March 28.
To minimize the risk of infection, the number of visitors to the park will be limited, ticket sales will be made exclusively online, and the territory will be subjected to regular disinfection.
The Mack family, which owns the amusement Park, hopes that it will be able to open its doors to visitors from other countries "as soon as cross-border traffic is restored."
