Environmental Culture and Art Festival Opens in St. Petersburg

The press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia has announced the opening of the "So-Creation" eco-culture and art festival in St. Petersburg. It will run until June 12. Guests will enjoy a fashion show, an eco-cinema, an exhibition of paintings and master classes.

The festival opened at the Universe of Water museum complex. The project's creators have brought together artists who support the ideas of rational use of materials and sustainable development. Visitors to the event will see art objects and clothes created without harming nature.

"Guests will be able to see an exhibition of ecological art, take a tour of the exhibition and the recycling museum, watch a theatrical performance, a presentation of a fashion collection, take part in eco-quizzes, master classes and film screenings.Visitors will be shown how to create ecological paintings from recycled materials and will take part in an eco-habits quest. In the "eco-cinema" there will be screenings of films about space debris and recycling," the statement says.

The key event of the festival will be the "Not Life, but a Fairy Tale" performance show, where design students will show their interpretation of the main Russian fairy tales in the language of upcycling.
