The press service of Kavkaz.The Russian Federation" reported that in March, the Elbrus resort received a record monthly number of guests in the entire history of its existence. It was visited by more than 103 thousand tourists. The previous record was set in August 2023, when 30 km of updated ecotropes were launched. Then the resort received 99 thousand tourists.
Currently, 23 km of trails and five cable cars are available at the resort. Last year, a large-scale modernization of Elbrus began. In addition to expanding the ski area, much attention is paid to the improvement of the central Azau square, increasing points of contact with customers, solving parking problems and improving the quality of services.
About a third of the total tourist flow is made up of non-skiing tourists. Special conditions for visiting the resort are provided for them as part of organized groups and panoramic photo zones have been created at each cable car station. Instead of a tourist ski pass at the resort, you can use a bank card.
In the summer, a new eco–trail, the Victory Trail, will be set up on Elbrus. She will guide the guests of the resort to the places of fierce battles for Elbrus during the Great Patriotic War.
A new ski area is also under construction near the Mir cable car station. It is planned to be put into operation in 2026.
