The construction of the complex will take place in several stages. The design of the ski village is currently being completed. It is planned to complete the construction by the end of 2032.
Lagonaki will be a year-round resort. In summer, the complex will focus on recreational, adventure and eco-tourism. In winter, 35 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding will be available to tourists. In total, it is planned to create at least 2.5 thousand hotel rooms, build 10 cable cars.
The new complex will be built in the immediate vicinity of the Caucasian Biosphere Reserve. In this regard, one of the main conditions for the implementation of the project is the minimum impact on the environment and the maximum preservation of natural attractions.
The report notes that the investor is recommended to use national elements, natural materials, ensure eco-control and arrange hiking routes, which will limit the anthropogenic load of "wild tourism".
