Roszapovedcenter will hold events dedicated to the activities of specially protected natural areas at the Primordial Russia Festival, which is taking place in Moscow. The agency announced this on its website.
"On March 23, representatives of nature reserves and national parks will talk about the formation of the Russian nature reserve system, the role of personality in its development, legends of conservation, famous scientists and employees of nature reserves and national parks, significant discoveries and bright achievements made by them, family unions and dynasties of people who devoted their lives to serving nature," the message says.
And on March 30, festival guests will be able to learn about the peculiarities of the relationship between animals.
"Why do some animals prefer matriarchy, while others live in harems? How do animals take care of their offspring and maintain family ties? These questions will be answered by people who daily observe representatives of the animal world as part of their work in specially protected natural areas," the Roszapovedcenter said.
The XI All-Russian nature festival "Primordial Russia" opened in Moscow on Krymsky Val on March 6 and will last until April 7. The program includes a large-scale photo exhibition dedicated to the natural resources of the country, lectures, workshops, film screenings, science shows, quizzes and other eco-educational events.
