The press service of the Tourism Corporation.The Russian Federation announced that by 2027, a new four-star recreational and hotel complex is planned to be built on the territory of the Ladoga Skerries National Park. It is expected to include an 80-room hotel, 48 eco-friendly cottages for family holidays, a sauna complex and a view restaurant.
It is planned that the total investment volume for the construction of all facilities on the territory of the complex will amount to 2 billion rubles. The Ladoga Skerries complex may be put into operation at the end of 2026. After the opening of all accommodation facilities, it will receive up to 60 thousand guests annually.
The report notes that design and survey work in the Lahdenpokh district of Karelia has already begun.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
