The new ecological route of the Krasnoyarsk Pillars with a length of 8 km will unite the iconic rocks of the national park - the Chinese Wall, Watchtower, Borodok and Ermak into one chain.

"The creation of a new eco-route "Legends of Takmak" will evenly distribute the tourist flow from the Eastern Entrance, reduce the impact on the natural environment, reduce the number of accidents when traveling over rough terrain and the number of lost tourists," the press service of the Krasnoyarsk Pillars National Park reported.

In addition, the existing trail will become safer and more comfortable as a result.

"Currently, the radial route "Journey to the Chinese Wall" is experiencing a significant recreational load, is unsafe and inconvenient for visitors due to steep descents, lack of navigation, information equipment, places of short rest, toilet. In addition, a spontaneous trail from the Chinese Wall rock to the Ermak Rock requires arrangement," the national Park noted.

The work on the arrangement is planned to be completed next year.

Already now there are new decking on screw piles along the Mokhovy Creek, and very soon three small gazebos will appear on the trail. Ermak Rock will have an observation deck by the end of this year, from where a view of the rocks of the Takmakovsky district and the city of Krasnoyarsk opens.

In 2024, within the framework of the "Legends of Takmak" project, it is planned to equip a steep path to Ermak, erect decking, handrails, steps for safe ascent and arrange an observation deck next to the Watchtower rock with a view of the Bell Tower rock, which is part of the special protection zone of the national Park.
