"Gastrocamp - 2023" will be held in Buryatia from October 18 to 25. Famous chefs will gather in the capital of the republic, Ulan-Ude, to create a unique menu inspired by local motifs. This was reported by the Tourist Information Center (TIC) “Baikal” in its Telegram channel.
“The main objective of the international project “Gastrocamp Buryatia” will be the development of tourism in the republic. The new menu will help reveal the uniqueness of the region in terms of gastronomy, and also, over time, become the hallmark of Buryatia,” the message says.
This task will be solved by the creator and director of Gastrocamp Leonid Gelibterman, guest chefs from Moscow, Khabarovsk and Ufa Anton Salnikov, Alexander Chernyshov and Maxim Lazarev, as well as bartender Evgeny Shkarin, pastry chef Marina Devyatko, chef from Mongolia Erdenee Sumyaadorzh and a team from Buryatia.
“Experts will visit several districts of Buryatia. There they will get acquainted with traditional cuisine, its features, and be inspired by local products. Based on this, the team will create a full menu of dishes, drinks, sets and sauces that can appear in restaurants and cafes of the republic,” said the Baikal TIC.
The presentation of the new “Buryat menu” will take place on October 25. It will be presented to the leadership of the republic, restaurateurs, hoteliers, the public and the media.
