The press service of the national park "Land of the Leopard" announced the beginning of the spring fire season. Personnel and equipment are fully prepared to fight wildfires in the subordinate territories.

This year, it was decided to introduce a special regime in February due to the steady warming in the range of the Far Eastern leopard. Wildfires can destroy hundreds of hectares of unique forests, and in the twentieth century they became one of the main reasons for the decline in the number of the Far Eastern leopard.

"Employees of the forestry department and the security department have been given a scheduled briefing and are on round-the-clock alert. Fire-fighting equipment has been checked and prepared, mineralized strips have been updated on time. Dispatching monitoring of the situation has been resumed for the rapid localization of fires and daily patrolling of territories has been organized," the message says.

Employees of the national park urge local residents to be especially careful when handling fire, and in case of fire detection on the territory of protected areas, they recommend contacting the operational duty officers by a special phone number.
