7,500 oak seedlings were planted on Kulikovo Field

The press service of the government of the Tula region reported that the annual Green Oak Forest event was held in the region. Since 2004, its participants have been planting seedlings on the Kulikovo Field that will help revive the historical landscape of oak plantations.

This year, participants planted 7,500 oak seedlings. Representatives of the Federal Forestry Agency, executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Central Federal District, authorized in the field of forest relations, and volunteers took part in the action.

They also summed up the results of the all-Russian action “Save the Forest”.

The report notes that in total this year 126 environmental events were carried out in the Tula region, during which more than 176 thousand seedlings were planted.
