226 New Cameras to Be Installed on Sochi Beaches

A local video surveillance system will operate on all beach territories of the resort. More than 500 cameras will be connected to the Unified Dispatch Service of Sochi and the "Safe City" system. Funds for the installation will be allocated under the resort fee program.

"The locations for the installation of cameras were determined as part of the work of the city's interdepartmental Anti-Terrorist Commission," the Sochi administration reports.

In total, the total number of cameras in Sochi will be over 3.7 thousand. They are installed in public areas: city streets,parks, squares, on embankments and beaches.
