Tourist trains will run on new routes in the next year and a half
Russian scientists from the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University have created a wind power plant that will reduce electricity bills and improve the ecology of the Arctic.
The invention will operate in hard-to-reach areas.
Shipping fuel for diesel generators to the Arctic takes a long distance and is expensive. To solve this, scientists decided to opt for a different approach and turn to natural power sources of the coastal territories of Russia, Arctic islands and shelf zones in the Arctic Ocean.
Wind power plants in this area of the Earth are in great demand. That is why new inventions with a power of 100 kW will be easy, and most importantly, quick to bring, assemble and install, kp.ru reports.
