The Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (KRDV) spoke about state support measures for the implementation of projects in the field of tourism and unique recreational resources of macroregions that attract travelers at a training seminar for hoteliers "The Way to the Stars".

At the event held in Moscow industry representatives discussed the development of domestic tourism in the Far East, the stages of creating a hotel service and ways to promote business, the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic reported. Maria Badmatsyrenova, Deputy director of the KRDV Investment Department, said that by the end of 2023, the regions of the Far East received 6.3 million tourists, and the Arctic regions received more than 1.1 million tourists. Badmatsyrenova spoke about the most attractive areas for tourists, including sea and ski resorts, camp sites and hotels, theme parks and restaurants that have already been created and are being created with the support of the state within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry".
According to the speaker, under agreements with the KRDV, businesses are implementing more than 400 projects in the tourism sector, the total investment exceeds 276 billion rubles, and 18,400 jobs are being created.

"Tourism in the Arctic and the Far East can and should be developed – these are territories with huge tourist potential based on unique locations, natural and climatic diversity, geographical location, prospects for entrepreneurs using government support measures," Badmatsyrenova said.
