By the end of 2022, about 35 million tourists will visit Greater Paris, which is 9% less than in the pre-pandemic 2019, the Paris Tourist Bureau predicts.

According to the platform Booking, this fall Paris became the first most popular tourist destination in the world, ahead of London and Marrakech.
The influx of tourists to the French capital was facilitated by the Paris Motor Show, which was visited by a total of 400,000 people, as well as the International Food Exhibition (265,000 visitors).

"The revival of business tourism this autumn complements what was observed in the field of recreational tourism in the spring," the Paris Tourist Bureau notes.

Despite the uncertainty created by the economic climate and the energy crisis, the bureau's experts are "reasonably optimistic" about 2023.
