The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights appreciated Norilsk Nickel's efforts to interact with indigenous peoples

Within the framework of the 12th UN Forum "Business and Human Rights" in Geneva, the head of the Department for Indigenous Peoples and Minorities of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Hernan Vales, met with Alexander Shaburkin, Head of the analytical department of the Department of Federal and Regional Programs of Norilsk Nickel.

At the meeting, the Norilsk Nickel Human Rights Report for 2022, the Norilsk Nickel Program for Supporting Indigenous Peoples, materials on the FPIC procedure, and the results of a Large scientific Expedition were presented.

Hernan Vales appreciated the regularity of Norilsk Nickel's approaches in interacting with indigenous peoples and the company's great work in this direction.
