An unforgettable experience awaits daredevil tourists on a new extreme route on the southern coast of Crimea. The "heavenly trail" with a length of 360 meters, hovering over a dizzying abyss, is open for visits from August 28 at Ai-Petri.
«This longest extreme route in Crimea has no analogues and will not leave indifferent thrill-seekers. In addition, fantastic views of Big Yalta open up from here, from a height of 1,234 meters,» said Henry Kanunov, head of the Freerite («Фрирайт») organization, which is engaged in the construction of extreme and ecological tourism facilities on the peninsula.
As a prototype, the organizers of the attraction looked at the longest and tallest glass bridge in the world, built in a canyon between two mountain cliffs in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in the Hunan province in China. It was opened to the public on August 20, 2016, it is 430 meters long and 6 meters wide, suspended 260 meters above the ground. While tourists walk along a massive structure on concrete supports in China, in Crimea a more airy version on anchor bolts has been created, without concrete or glue.
Tourists who follow the trail without railings with a safety rope will go straight to the Ai-Petri battlements along the open rocky cliffs. According to Kanunov, unlike the sports via ferrata, which requires tourists to be in good physical shape, the "Heavenly Trail" is suitable for everyone, however children under 14 will not be allowed.
