Under the slogan "Together," a carnival will take place in the Montenegrin resort of Budva at the beginning of May.
Along with Montenegrin residents, a record number of tourists from all over the world will gather for the 21st International Carnival. Dozens of musical groups will entertain the crowd in the squares of the Old Town.
Traditionally, the carnival opens with a masked procession along the Budva Riviera. Then, the general festivities begin with dancing and singing. The festive program includes performances by popular musical groups from Montenegro, Serbia, and England. Within the walls of the Old Town, you will be able to hear local DJ Fikus, the Serbian group Bucotzar, the star of the London club Fabric - Anna Wall, the hip-hop groups Mixa The Dude and Radio Katakomba from Budva, the cult Balkan rap group Prti Bee Gee, as well as many other famous performers.
The second day of the holiday is dedicated to children. A small carnival parade will take place on the city's embankment, where young participants in the ceremony will march in colorful masks and original costumes. Competitive programs and group competitions will continue the fun.
The culmination of the festivities will be a grand carnival parade, which will be attended by dozens of teams from different regions of Europe and the world, as well as thousands of residents and guests of Budva.
Such a rich program is the result of joint efforts of the city municipality and tourist companies of the country.
