On March 3 and 4, the SVET ON youth forum was held, which is the main event within the framework of Norilsk Nickel's World of New Opportunities charity program for creative young people in the regions, Taimyr Telegraph reports.
This year, 500 people are participating in the forum.
Teenagers were able to take part in solving practical problems in the areas of tracks, received advice from professionals in their field, created networking with peers, listened to expert presentations by external and internal speakers in the TEDx format.
On March 3, blogger Vlad Filatov will hold a master class "Blogging as a Profession" with Norilsk residents. Polar State University will host interactive events involving 3D scanning of objects, crash tests of technological machines, immersion in VR space, quadrocopter control, and so on.
Then the youth will get acquainted with the Arctic Lesson volunteer project and a workshop with TEDx speaker Anastasia Polyntseva, the winner of the Russian Volunteer 2020 contest. At the “From Technology to Idea” workshop, participants will be introduced to modern digital technologies and case studies, ideas generation techniques, their effectiveness and applicability assessment using the technological radar used by Norilsk Nickel as an example.
The highlights of the forum will be the team game Skill Time and the opportunity to visit thematic excursions to production sites and enterprises of the city.
Irina Zhuykova, Director of the Social Policy Department at Norilsk Nickel, notes that it is important for the company that the city develops together with the company:
“The strategic goals of the company and the city coincide: both need highly qualified personnel who in the future will work both at the company's and city facilities. This year, we have such a collaboration with city enterprises and organizations, including within the company. It is important to help young people get acquainted with relevant professions. We really hope that after the forum the guys will draw their own life and career track.”
The Ministry of Regional Security of the Murmansk Region has developed a draft regulatory act that eases the possibilities of using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for photography and videography
