The "Kaluzhskiye Zaseki" reserve invites volunteers who are ready to help with cleaning up construction waste and deadwood, clearing blockages on the territory of the protected area. Volunteers will also be asked to build a wooden porch around the guest houses, put in order the information stands on the eco-trails and collect natural material for conducting master classes. Volunteer days in "Kaluzhskiye Zaseki" will be held from May 10 to 12.
"Volunteers on a specially protected natural territory have a unique opportunity to visit different corners of the virgin nature of the reserve. It is possible that they will be able to see some of the inhabitants of the fauna. Each volunteer will definitely receive a souvenir gift from the reserve as a keepsake," - says the message on the website of "Kaluzhskiye Zaseki".
During the shift, volunteers will listen to stories about the life of animals from the reserve's scientists, watch videos, go on excursions along the eco-trails, and visit a holy spring with a font.
Volunteers will live in guest houses and will have to cook for themselves. The reserve does not pay for transportation costs to and from the protected area. But all transfers within its territory (to the place of residence and work of volunteers and all excursions) are provided by the reserve's transport.
Among the mandatory requirements for assistants are: adulthood, Russian citizenship, vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis. Candidates should not have medical contraindications to physical labor in the open air. It will also be required to be ready for stress, to be able to work with tools, to be able to work in a team and to agree to live in modest living conditions.
