A competition for the development of ecotourism in Russia has kick started

The first All-Russian competition of the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization “Strategic Initiative Agency for New Projects Promotion” for the creation of tourist and recreational clusters and the development of ecotourism in Russia has started.

The applications can be submitted until July 10. 30 teams will be selected for the acceleration program. They will be announced on July 28.

Among the selection criteria, there are unique objects of various categories on the territory, an economically sound financial model of the project, attractiveness for investors and a calculated anthropogenic load. It is also important to worki out the issue of waste management in national parks and reserves, without which it is impossible to win a competition.

Based on the results of the competition, the top 10 territories will be selected with a comprehensive project model to be implemented. They will have the opportunity to attract investors and receive co-financing from federal programs, and then begin the implementation of projects at the end of the year.

The competition will end on October 16th.

The All-Russian competition for the creation of tourist and recreational clusters and the development of ecotourism in Russia has been initiated and is being held by the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization “Strategic Initiative Agency for New Projects Promotion” with the support of the ministries for the development of the Far East and the Arctic, natural resources, economic development, agriculture, and Rostourism.
