A special environmental campaign is being held by the Sergey Sokolov City Ecological and Biological Center. After the New Year and Christmas holidays, Sochi residents can bring natural Christmas trees, freed from tinsel and decorations, to the address: Sochi, st. Alpine, 5.
“In the future, the wood will be processed into wood chips, which will serve as an excellent insulation for animal enclosures and material for landscape design in a children's institution,” said Rostislav Goncharov, director of the department for environmental protection, forestry, agriculture and industry of the Sochi administration.
It will be possible to hand over Christmas trees for processing in Sochi from 11 to 20 January.
