The first family eco-festival will be held on December 14 in Salekhard. The event is timed to coincide with the second anniversary of the "YamalEcoDom" project and the closing of the Year of the Family. This was reported by the portal of the government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YNAO).
"The festival #Let'sNotLitterTogether will combine educational and entertaining activities for the whole family. At the venues of the Yamal National Library, there will be toy garbage truck races and video games for fathers and children, board games for toddlers that teach waste sorting, master classes for teenagers on creating environmental content, and creative workshops for mothers on creating decor from recycled materials," the message says.
The festival will pay special attention to art therapy and psychological support: professional psychologists will conduct classes for inner harmony.
For guests, there will be a New Year's swap zone - an exchange of holiday decorations and costumes, as well as a photo contest and workshops on creating eco-accessories. Participants will be able to earn tokens and exchange them for prizes.
Since 2019, the "YamalEcoDom" project has been promoting eco-culture and proper waste management in the YNAO. During its operation, the project has attracted more than 60 thousand visitors, helped collect over 90 tons of recyclable materials and almost 5 tons of batteries. Last year, the project was recognized as one of the best eco-practices in Russia.
