Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to participants and guests of the 6th International Tourism Forum "Travel!", which will be held in Moscow from June 10 to 14.
In his message, the Russian head of state noted that the meeting of tourism industry representatives at the Forum, as has become tradition, will allow domestic and foreign specialists, business representatives, and experts to exchange experiences and present new tourism destinations that introduce the cultures and traditions of different countries, their rich and diverse nature, and historical heritage. The President emphasized that the Forum is another excellent opportunity to showcase the enormous potential of Russia's regions in this area.
"It is important that travel within Russia be accessible, comfortable, and memorable. To achieve this, we must continue to improve tourism infrastructure, effectively organize routes, and make them convenient and interesting for people." "This work especially requires coordinated efforts by the state, business circles, and regional authorities to ensure that tourism becomes a profitable economic sector, generates additional revenue, helps create jobs, and preserves museums, architectural monuments, national parks, and nature reserves," Vladimir Putin noted.
The head of state also expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
