The Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation is increasing its support for Russian education, culture, social sports, and philanthropy.
"The size of the grant fund in the new competition season will exceed 2 billion rubles, which is a third more than in the past. This will support almost two thousand talented students, teachers, employees of museums and non–profit organizations," the foundation's press service said.
Significant changes will take place in the support of university students participating in the Vladimir Potanin scholarship program. The scholarship amount will increase from 25,000 to 30,000 rubles, and the number of scholarship holders will increase by a quarter – now it will be 1,000 people.
For university teachers, the maximum grant amount will remain at 500,000 rubles, but it will be possible to receive an additional 150,000 rubles, which can be used to present their achievements at events.
In the summer of 2026, the foundation's largest environmental and volunteer initiative, the School, will continue its development. 500 students and teachers participating in the scholarship program (there were 300 in 2025) will go to national parks, nature reserves, and cultural heritage sites in Russia to contribute to the activities of specially protected areas.
The Foundation will continue to support initiatives within the framework of the Museum without borders program. It includes three competitions, each of which will increase the maximum amount of grants. In the "Museum 4.0" competition – from 7 million to 10 million rubles, in the "Creative Museum" – from 5 million to 7 million rubles.
In the "Industrial Experiment" competition, the growth in the "Industrial Upgrade" and "Museum Plant" categories will occur from 5 million and 7 million to 10 million rubles, respectively.
The winners of the competition of the last five years, who have successfully completed their projects by October 2025, will be able to apply for additional support of up to 10 million rubles in the New Height nomination, which will appear for the first time.
"Within the framework of the Effective Philanthropy program, a competition "Target Capitals: a growth strategy" is planned, aimed at increasing the institutional stability of target capital funds. The pilot competition took place in the 2024/25 season and proved its relevance: we received 136 applications from non-profit organizations. The maximum grant amount in the new season will also amount to 25 million rubles," the foundation notes.
The inter-program competition "Professional Development" provides an opportunity for specialists from the field of higher education, the non-profit sector, culture and sports to strengthen their professional competencies and share their experience with colleagues.
In the "Individual Trajectory" category, the amount of support will amount to 300,000 rubles, and in the "Institutional Experience" category it will increase from 750,000 to 1 million rubles.
Within the framework of the competition "Practices of personal Philanthropy and altruism", the foundation will continue to support personal socially significant initiatives of community members. The authors of the projects will be able to receive up to 500, 000 rubles for their implementation.
The Potanin Foundation has been implementing large-scale charitable programs in the fields of culture, higher education, social sports and charity in Russia since 1999.
Over 26 years of work, he has brought together over 40,000 active creative professionals who participate in solving socially significant tasks and achieve sustainable social change.
Last year, the foundation donated 1,139 billion rubles to charity, supporting 1,508 organizations, project authors, and students of Russian universities.
Traditionally, as part of the foundation's grant activities, the new competition season starts in the fall and ends next summer, according to ttelegraf.ru.
The bill received proposals from regions, the Presidential Administration, the Security Council, federal agencies, public organizations, and nearly 1,500 citizen appeals.
