Agave plants typically begin to bloom at 10-15 years of age, but this specimen has become the oldest of all, at 25 years old. During flowering, the plants "release" a long arrow. This time, its height exceeded six meters.

"The peduncle of the plant is the height of a two-story house - more than six meters! This event acquires special significance, given that the agave blooms only once in a lifetime, and this process will last for several months," the press service of the Sochi National Park said.

After flowering, the plant will begin to wither. The national park specialists have already planted new shoots next to the flowering agaves, which will replace the flowering ones.

The flowering of this agave is a unique event that can be observed in the Sochi National Park. This is a great opportunity to see this amazing plant and learn more about its life cycle.
