The Russian Ministry of Economic Development has announced that the fifth annual "Travel Russia" tourism forum will be held from June 10 to 15, 2025, at VDNKh in Moscow. The business program will be united under the theme "Discover Russia." Visitors will be able to explore the diverse range of travel opportunities in Russia and learn about new resorts, tourist destinations, and travel formats.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that holding this event is very timely in the current context. Interest in the forum is growing among both Russian and foreign participants. It is expected that the geography of foreign guests from friendly countries will expand in the coming year. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, together with the Ministry of Economic Development, has been tasked with working on this issue.
The "Travel Russia" forum has already established itself as a key industry event, becoming a global platform for discussing modern trends in the tourism and hospitality industry. In the coming year, a new comprehensive approach to creating its concept and space will be tested. It will allow demonstrating the tourist potential of all 89 subjects of the Russian Federation and increase the international part of the exhibition.
It is expected that federal and regional authorities, tour operators, and companies working in the tourism sector will be widely represented in the exhibition part next year. During the meeting on preparations for the forum, Dmitry Chernyshenko proposed holding an exhibition of manufacturers of domestic equipment for the tourism industry, as well as organizing a platform for representatives of various industries to present investment projects. In this way, businesses will be able to find potential partners.
It is expected that the forum participants will discuss a wide range of topics. A large block of the program will be dedicated to inbound tourism. Another topic for discussion will be medical tourism, which is not only in demand domestically but is also a tool for attracting foreign guests. Regional festival programs will also play an important role. In addition, the subjects of the Russian Federation will present a variety of patriotic routes.
