The Qatari authorities have announced their intention to reconsider investment plans for London after the London Public Transport Operator rejected Qatar's tourist advertising campaign.

According to the carrier, it is unacceptable because of Qatar's national legislation discriminating against representatives of the LGBT community.

According to the British media, in Doha, the refusal was interpreted as a sign that "Qatari investments are not welcome in London."

Transport for London stated, in particular, that it considers unacceptable the presence of advertisements for the World Cup in Qatar on its buses, trains and subways.
