The press service of the Russian Geographical Society has announced the start of accepting applications for participation in the competition "Cultural Treasures through the Eyes of the Young: New Tourist Magnets of Russia". The projects of the winners will be recommended for further implementation.

The competition is being held as part of the "Living Heritage" project. Participants will have to find new local cultural brands of Russia. These can be historical and natural sights, crafts, and even national dishes.

"The competition has eight main nominations and two special ones, where, in addition to local brands, tourist routes and videos can be added. Cultural treasures can be authentic settlements, significant dates and events, great names and images, creative clusters and cultural objects, traditions and crafts, natural monuments and gastronomic brands," - the message says.

Beforehand, participants are invited to check if the selected object or phenomenon is already in the "Living Heritage" catalog. Applications can be submitted until May 20. To each competitive brand, you need to add a description, tell what makes it unique and what it can attract tourists.

The winners will receive memorable prizes, and their projects will be recommended to local governments for further implementation.
