The shooting of the adventure thriller "Sky Trail" has been completed on Elbrus, which took place on the highest mountain in Europe for two and a half months. This was reported on its website by the company "Kavkaz.RF".
"The film crew performed a real feat, climbing to a height of 5100 meters above sea level and filming in extreme high-altitude conditions. This is the world's first film project implemented at such a height. The achievement was recorded by an official representative of the Russian Book of Records," - the message says.
"Sky Trail" is an adventure thriller directed by Sergei Pikalov, a Cannes Film Festival nominee ("Mutiny", "In the Cage").The film tells the story of how, during a transition along a high-mountain tourist trail, a group of climbers is caught in an avalanche. All means of communication are lost, and the group has to take a risky path to salvation. During the hike,overcoming hardships, each of the heroes will reveal their true character, as well as the secrets of the past that connect them all, the message says.
The main roles are played by Dmitry Chebotarev ("Major Grom: Strange Doctor", "Vampires of the Middle Strip"), Ivan Mulin ("Execution", "Dyatlov Pass"), Alena Mitroshina ("Headshot", "Sixteen +"). The film is scheduled to be released in 2025.
The staff of "Kavkaz.RF" and the resort "Elbrus" provided assistance in organizing and conducting the filming, ensuring the safety and technical support of the project at the high-altitude site.
