The depreciation of the euro to $0.95, which is the lowest in the last 20 years, pleases American tourists, for whom Europe is becoming an attractive region for inexpensive purchases.

Since the beginning of the fall of the euro, from May to July, air ticket sales from the United States to Europe have increased by 113%. In July, an unprecedented number of tickets for flights to the countries of the Old World were sold in the United States - 4.5 million.

The dollar exchange rate allows Americans to stay in Europe for a longer time and spend more money on luxury goods, visiting restaurants and staying in luxury hotels.

According to media reports, in Barcelona, the expenses of foreign tourists increased by 659% from the beginning of the year to the end of July, and in France this summer they increased by 10% compared to 2019, primarily due to tourists from the United States, Great Britain, Germany and Belgium.
