The official website of the Kamchatka Territory reported a significant increase in the tourist flow. Over the past ten years, it has grown more than sixfold, and last year it amounted to 367.5 thousand people. Interest in Kamchatka is shown not only by Russians, but also by foreign tourists.

The report notes that new tourist complexes, bases and hotels are constantly being created in Kamchatka, and the quality of tourist services is improving. To date, more than 80% of collective accommodation facilities in Kamchatka are certified hotels and hostels.

Extensive work is also being carried out on the peninsula to classify tourist routes in order to make them high-quality and safe. Today Kamchatka is among the leaders in terms of volume and quality of tourist infrastructure.
