The Theatrical Route Festival starts in Russia on March 19

The country's leading theaters will take part in the Theatrical Route festival, the press service of VTB Bank, which is a partner of the upcoming event, reported. The festival starts on March 19 and runs until October. The "theatrical route" will cover 14 cities of Russia. Among the participants are such famous theaters as the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, the Workshop of Peter Fomenko and RAMT.

"The audience will be presented performances based on classical and modern works, which are attended by famous artists – Konstantin Raikin, Igor Vernik, Elizaveta Boyarskaya, Igor Kostolevsky, Alexandra Ursulyak and others," the message says.

The "Theatrical Route" in Perm will open with the production of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater "Masquerade with Closed Eyes" based on the work of Mikhail Lermontov. The audience will see a performance directed by Pyotr Shereshevsky on the stage of the Theater-Theater on March 19 and 20. The program "Zoikin's Apartment" of the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater will continue.

Karelia will be another point of the route in March. The A. Raikin Satyricon Theater and the Mayakovsky Moscow Theater will bring their productions to Petrozavodsk. The performances of "Satyricon" will also be shown in Kostomuksha and beyond the Arctic Circle – in Olenegorsk.

Guests of the festival will also be able to take part in lectures, master classes and other events.
