The Kronotsky Nature Reserve, the Association of Protected Areas of the Kamchatka Territory and the government of the Kamchatka Territory have launched a recruitment for the second shift of the School of Conservationists.
Volunteers start their training, the second shift will start in April-May.
A total of 132 applications were received for the "Volunteering" course, of which 46 finalists were selected and divided into shifts.
The training will take place online three times a week. Students will listen to lectures on wildlife management, Kamchatka wildlife, ecotourism, ecological culture, garbage disposal and other topics. During the course, they will work on their own environmental projects under the supervision of curators. In the summer, students will have an internship in Kamchatka. All training is free.
The project is aimed at implementing the priority areas of the national project "Ecology" for the development of specially protected natural areas, ecological tourism and volunteering in the Russian Federation. The program is being implemented by the regional government and the Association of Specially Protected Natural Areas of the Kamchatka Territory: "Kronotsky State Reserve", State Reserve «Komandorsky» and "Natural Park "Volcanoes of Kamchatka».
