This was due to frequent storms and rainfalls this fall. Now the water temperature off the coast of Sochi barely reaches + 19 ° C.

«In Sochi, the sea is cooling down. Almost at the end of October, people are still swimming. But now, due to these phenomena, the temperature layers of the water are mixing, the sea is cooling down faster, there is a minimal warming up of the water area,» said Alexander Kolesnik, Deputy Head of the Krasnodar Territory State Administration for Monitoring and Prediction of Natural and Technogenic Emergencies.

At the same time, the water temperature in Anapa is + 18 ° C, and in Yeisk + 11 ° C.
