The historical reconstruction of the equestrian campaign of the squad of Alexander Nevsky “Alexander Road” is held for the third year. This year, the project events will be held from mid -July to mid -September in eight regions of Russia associated with the name of the prince and the history of Ancient Rus'.

“For two months, the campaign participants will overcome more than 2.3 thousand kilometers: from the shores of the Chudskoe lake  - the places of the ice battle - to the Theodorovsky Monastery in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, where the Holy Prince ended the earthly path,” the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources, the co -organizer of the event, said.

Each region will host the theatrical meetings of the squads of the riders in armor, cultural and educational festivals with crafts and interactive venues.

In 2021, the 'Alexander Road' was held for the first time as part of the 800th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Nevsky. Two national parks participated in the project. Last year, the campaign was timed to the 780th anniversary of the ice battle on Lake Peipsi, and then the participants of the route went through four specially protected natural territories. This year, the reconstruction is dedicated to the 760th anniversary of the death of the prince, and six reserved territories have already participated in it, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia noted.

During the medieval representation, the warriors competed in the ability to own weapons, equestrian training. The guests of the event took part in the master classes, received defending lessons, shooting from a crossbow or bow, and fought in historical board games.

On July 29, the route participants will go through the Valdai National Park (Novgorod Region), on August 19 -  the national park "Losynaya Island" (Moscow, Moscow Region), and on August 26 - the Pleshcheevo Lake (Yaroslavl Region). On September 2, the reconstructors will go to the National Park of Meshchera (Vladimir Region), and September 9 - the Kerzhensky Reserve (Nizhny Novgorod Region).
