The World Ski Award was established in 2013 to raise the standards of the ski industry. From now on, industry leaders are annually chosen by independent voting of travel industry experts and visitors to a special website. The international World Ski Awards is a kind of business card that testifies to the high standards of service and infrastructure facilities.

Ski tourism is a vital segment of the global travel and tourism market. It is estimated that 400 million people visit more than 2,500 ski resorts every year, providing more than 6 million hotel beds to their guests. This year, 26 resorts became winners of the World Ski Awards, one in each country: 17 in Europe, 4 in the two Americas, 5 in Asia and Oceania.

Now the tourism and leisure industry around the world is going through difficult times. Additional epidemiological safety measures continue to operate at mountain resorts. However, despite the restrictions, last year the resort received about 5,000 foreign guests living and working in Russia. Participation in the competition and high appreciation of the World Ski Awards also testifies that despite the current situation, Rosa Khutor is an integral part of the international ski tourism industry.
