The official website of the Mayor of Moscow announced the completion of the annual environmental action "Counting nightingales". She started on May 12th. As a result, an interactive map of the habitats of these birds has been updated.
This year, ornithologists and citizens have noticed 300 nightingales in the natural areas of Moscow. This is almost twice as much as a year earlier. Most often, nightingales were recognized by voice in the natural complex of Zelenograd, in the natural and historical park "Izmailovo", as well as in the natural and historical parks "Kuzminki-Lyublino" and "Bitsevsky Forest".
Experts note that it is best to watch the nightingales in the evening. These birds usually settle near water bodies in dense thickets of lilacs or willows.
