This will happen due to the replacement of the rolling stock by buses running on methane. According to the Safe High-Quality Roads national project, 51 compressed natural gas buses will arrive in Sochi in 2023-2024.

Within the framework of the Concept for the development of the production and use of electric motor transport in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030, fast charging stations for cars are located in the city. Last year, 16 fast charging stations for electric vehicles appeared in Sochi. It is planned to install 18 more in 2023. The current route network of the city of Sochi consists of 123 regular transportation routes. More than 800 public transport units operate on the line daily, including 135 buses running on natural gas fuel.
